Here it is only March, we still have 9 more weeks of school and yet I'm already buying next year's school curriculum!
I don't know why I've got such a curriculum itch this year. Maybe it's because this year all my curriculum will essentially be free. I sold a stroller for $100 and that money is being directed straight to books. I also have a nice amount from my Amazon Affiliates which I'm using for books. (As a side note, if you ever buy something through Amazon you should use my affiliate link if you aren't already using our church's... just saying)
The fact that I'm buying most of our stuff used means I'm saving a TON!
Here's what I've bought so far:
Math for Logan: Singapore Math 3 (yeah that's not a typo, Logan will be in 3rd grade math) - $48
Science for both boys: Exploring God's Creation - $6
Core Curriculum (history, bible, geography, etc) for both boys: Sonlight Core C - $32
Language Arts for Logan: Wordly Wise 2 - $6
Still to be bought:
Math for Ransom: Singapore 2 workbooks (Yep Ransom's a year ahead too.)
Grammar for Logan: Language Smarts C
All the books for Sonlight which there are tons!
So far I've spent just under $100. I'm hoping to keep it under $150 but we'll see. There are a few other elective type subjects that I'd love to add on like critical thinking so if I'm still under my $200 budget, I might pick those up as well.
I have to say, looking through all the curricula brings back memories. I go through the curriculum lists and think, I remember that book, can't wait for the kids to use that curriculum, etc.
